Logical: No Mosque Near Ground Zero

Never ForgetImage by wstera2 via Flickr
Charles Krauthammer at The Washington Post lays out the clear logic. The developers chose the site because of its association with Ground Zero. That association is precisely the reason why this construction is wholly and wildly inappropriate. Why can't the developers see that point? Why won't they? Why not build the new Islamic center somewhere else in the vastness that is New York City? Why the stubborn obsession with being near Ground Zero? You can't hijack this sacred memorial site for your own distinct, separate agenda. To do so is consummately disrespectful. Freely pursue your agenda somewhere else, especially if your agenda is to gain goodwill from your fellow Americans.
